Short Message Service (SMS)
Text messaging is also known as SMS (Short Message Service). This feature allows you to send and receive short messages (up to 160 characters including space and punctuation marks) from your device to another mobile in the world in seconds. With Long SMS, more than 160 characters can be sent but the charge is always per 160 characters. With SMS you can keep in touch with a number when it is not easy to get through to, or if you are in a meeting, in a crowded bus or a restaurant you can communicate via SMS.

Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)
Glo Multimedia Messaging Service allows you to combine picture messaging, enhanced text messaging and audio messaging in a single message and send to friends and family using MMS-enabled phones. It brings a whole new world of color, sound and pictures directly to your mobile phone at an affordable price.
Service Cost
Service is charged at the Flat rate of N30 per MMS.
International MMS
Glo International MMS service will allow you send pictures, music, video and extra-long text to your family, friends and Business associates worldwide.

Subscriber Usage/Subscription for this service
- To configure your phone for MMS send an SMS with the word ‘activate’ to 667, call customer care on 121 or visit any of our Gloworld outlets.
- No cost is incurred if the service is not used; it will be on a pay per use basis.
- Only Glo customers with MMS/WAP capable handsets can use MMS.
Requirements
Before enrolling in Glo MMS, we suggest you check the capacity of your handset to ensure it supports the service.

Note: You can choose your favorite based combined messaging. Users with MMS devices receive a notification via SMS containing a Web address with a unique password; they can display their message in its entirety.

The voicemail service transforms your telephone into an answering machine and message recording system when you are unable to take call. This service also act as your personal secretary, by taking your call if you are either busy, out of network coverage area or even when your phone is turned off. You can retrieve messages at your own convenience. You can also customize/personalize your voicemail settings to your personal greeting message.
Setting Up Your Voicemail
Simply dial 111 from your Glo line to set up your mailbox. Go through the easy to use menu to customize your mailbox, by recording a personal message. Please do not forget to change your default password (0000) to ensure confidentiality.
Retrieving Your Voicemail
- As soon as any caller leaves a message in your mailbox, you receive an SMS notification informing you of the message. Just dial 111 on your Glo mobile line and listen to your messages.
- Press # 1 to delete the message you are listening to.
Retrieving Your Voicemail Remotely
To access your voice mailbox from another phone, please call +234805111 and last 10 digits of your phone.
Example: if your mobile phone number is 08055556666, then you will have to dial +2348051118055556666. Listen to the welcome message, then press 6 #. When prompted, enter your 4 digit password then press the # key. Your voicemail messages will now be played back.
Caller Line Identification Present (CLIP)
It is a service through which the identity of the caller appears on the screen of Glo subscribers during a call. This is available for both Glo Business and Prepaid customers.
Caller line identification Restriction (CLIR)
It is a service that allows the caller to hide his number during a call. This service is available only on Glo Business packages.

Call Waiting
With this service, customers can manage two or more calls simultaneously.
- The call waiting service notifies the customer of an incoming call while on another call.
- Call waiting service allows the customer to take another call by putting the current call on hold.

Call Transfer
With this service, customers can transfer Glo mobile calls to another number, whether local or international with or without condition (If busy/ If unreachable / If no response). Customers who activate call transfer pay for any transfer made to the number on local rate.*This service is available for both Glo Business and Prepaid customers.
