Internet Bandwidth
Internet Protocol Wholesale (IPW) is a one-to-many broadband service delivered over a 640 Gigabit backbone connection (scalable to 2.5 Terabits) that enables Glo to develop and provide internet services with exceptional uptime and access speeds. This solution provides customers the opportunity to purchase wholesale internet services and distribute this capacity into their network while utilizing their existing infrastructure. IPW is designed specifically for content providers, application service providers, carriers and internet service providers. Glo 1 will extend IPW bandwidth to nine West African countries thereby connecting various Western African countries to Europe and all the major countries of the world. IPW is available across Nigeria and Ghana presently. The Glo network offers connectivity across all cities of Nigeria through its own terrestrial fiber network.
Leased Lines
It’s a private line to carry voice and data between two points. It’s ideal for businesses with multi-location offices. Leased line services are offered in both point to point simple connectivity as well as internet leased lines. In internet leased lines, we offer both shared and dedicated internet ports. Dedicated Internet port offers uninterrupted bandwidth performance for organizations. The service is recommended for organizations requiring consistent internet bandwidth. However, for the benefit of extra bandwidth, besides the committed shared speed, Broad Access also offers a shared port. This service gives access to a committed bandwidth and an option of pulling extra bandwidth. This is subject to the application being used and the connections on to the port.
VPN
This is the Virtual Private Network which is made by using Leased connectivity or IP connectivity. Connectivity across offices, executives' homes, dealers' and vendors are key to how fast information can be leveraged and situations responded to. Virtual Private Network (VPN) over ADSL provide subscribers real-time and secure access to information from home or when on the move. This leads to a well-informed enterprise and as a result, a more productive one. IPLC
International Private Leased Circuit is a dedicated, “Always On”, leased point-to-point digital circuit, for the bulk transfer of data, voice and video. It allows simultaneous two-way transmissions of digital signals at speeds ranging from 64 Kbps to 155 Mbps and higher bandwidths. IPLC is charged at a fixed rental, regardless of usage - giving the customer optimal budget control. IPLC offers connectivity across West Africa, Europe, Asia and the United States. IPLC is also offered through Glo 1, which has Landing stations in nine West African countries, providing national services in Nigeria, Ghana and Benin. In total, the Globacom network covers 10 countries and more than 100 cities. Local access to the customer site is achieved using Globacom fiber connections or via local partners.
