Launched on 29th August 2003, Glo Mobile instantly became the choice of the masses.
In about six years of operations, we at Glo Mobile have acquired a subscriber base of millions of subscribers. With our constant innovation in services and technology, we have established ourselves as a leading Nigerian brand in the country. We are now rapidly expanding our Glo Mobile footprint into other parts of West Africa: we launched our mobile network in the Republic of Benin and have replicated the Nigerian success story there too. We will soon launch our services in Ghana and Ivory Coast.
Technical Infrastructure
We at Glo Mobile deliver a state-of-the-art network that guarantees high-quality service to our end users. As part of our technology renovation, our network is being upgraded to all Internet Protocol (IP) core networks in Nigeria and Benin. This will ensure excellent voice and data quality for our customers. At the same time, we are implementing a ‘one network’ concept to offer seamless end-user services across all of our Glo networks – Glo Mobile and Glo Broad Access within Nigeria – as well as in other parts of West Africa.

Glo Business
If you would like to enjoy the security and benefits of a contract, then you will enjoy our wide range of packages available. Are you looking for an affordable contract? Do you want the benefits and security of a contract package but you don’t want t spend that much on calls per month? If so, The Optimizer is the right package for you. And if you are a corporate organization with staff that use less than N 5, 000 a month, then you should consider the Maximizer. We also offer the Business 600 contract, which is specifically designed for business professionals or individuals who spend a minimum of N 12, 000 a month. Then there’s Glo Direct, which gives you access to the internet anywhere, anytime on your laptop, PDA or Smart phone. The service is very fast and affordable. Other Glo business features are our Glo Toll Free Service, 3G Plus Usage Tracker and 3.5G HSI Flexible Pack. VAS
We have a range of Value Added Services, all designed to enhance your Glo experience. Glo Caller Tunes is a feature that allows you to personalize your conventional ring tune; Text messaging (also known as SMS: Short Message Service) allows you to send and receive short messages and Glo Multimedia Messaging Service allows you to combine picture messaging, enhanced text messaging and audio messaging in a single message. Then we offer a voicemail service which transforms your telephone into an answering machine and message recording system when you are unable to take call. With Magic Plus, you will have access to a host of information, commerce & entertainment contents, direct to your mobile phone. And with Glo Direct you will have advanced wireless internet access service that allows you to stay connected to the World Wide Web anywhere and anytime within Glo Mobile's GPRS coverage area. Then we also offer Glo Mobile Internet, which is a service that gives you access to all popular internet sites which have been customized for mobile phone browsing. Other Value Added Services we offer are Caller Line Identification Present (CLIP), Caller line identification Restriction (CLIR), Call Waiting, Call Transfer and Pre-paid Roaming.
