It is yet another moral lesson week as the TV Drama Series, Professor Johnbull, sponsored by the grandmasters of data, Globacom, beams its searchlight on the get-rich-quick syndrome in the society.

The new episode of the sitcom slated for airing on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes at 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday, is titled: “My Pikin Don Hammer”, and it harps on the need for parents to query the sources of wealth of their wards before celebrating them.

Announcing the new episode in Lagos on Monday, the Executive Producer of the TV Series, directed by Tchidi Chikere, said that “we are of firm belief that the society will be well off, if parents and guardians alike take time to interrogate the sources of wealth of their children and wards to serve as moral guide on those young elements”.

“The prevailing insecurity in the society today and the legion of criminal acts and venal practices common in our society is as a result of the tendency of the people to get rich by all means possible. When a society fails to inculcate moral value on its people, the result can be catastrophic and we are more than convinced that if the society interrogates every facet of the lifestyles of its people, it will be better off. “My Pikin Don Hammer” is a call to action and we are confident that the viewing public will find the episode moralistic enough,” the statement added.

The presence of the Na Who I Go Ask crooner, Omawumi Megbele, who makes a cameo appearance in the episode, is the icing on the cake for “My Pikin Don Hammer” episode.

In the episode, viewers will be confronted with posers such as: why do ladies of nowadays love money? Should people be celebrated for their ostentatious living without questioning their source of wealth? How many parents query their children’s wealth these days? What should be the attitude of the public to those who suddenly become wealthy without any visible means of livelihood? How relevant is the axiom that all that glitters is not gold?

Like other episodes before it, “My Pikin Don Hammer”, parades the conscience of the sitcom, Professor Johnbull, acted by the Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo and other regulars such as Elizabeth (Queen Nwokoye), Jumoke (Bidemi Kosoko), Churchill (Jnr. Pope Odonwodo), Flash (Stephen Odimgbe), Olaniyi (Yomi Fash-Lanso), Caro (Mercy Johnson Okojie), Ufoma (Bimbo Akintola) and Abadnego (Martins Nebo).

There will be a repeat broadcast of the episode on Friday at 8.30pm on the NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes
