Viewers of the TV Drama Series, Professor Johnbull, sponsored by the grandmasters of data, Globacom, have been assured of an exciting moment this week as a new episode of the series exposes the activities of fake estate agents.

The latest episode of the sitcom is tagged Estate Agents, and it will be aired on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes at 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday.

While explaining the rationale for the new episode, Globacom said, “it is common knowledge that the activities of quacks in the nation’s real estate management have given the industry a great challenge and many people have fallen victims of the pranks and exploitation of these fake estate agents who not only rent or sell the same property to several people at the same time, but who also abscond with people’s money”.

Estate Agents is an episode that is not a only comical but highly insightful as it digs into the activities of those who have no business in the nation’s real estate industry. “We are confident that after watching this new episode, many who would have been victims would have learnt some lessons as Estate Agents is a complete expose on the activities of fake real estate agents”, the statement added.

Characteristically, the episode stars the conscience of the Series, Professor Johnbull (Kanayo O. Kanayo) and parades other regulars such as Samson (Ogus Baba), Flash (Stephen Odimgbe), Etuk (Bishop Imeh), Jumoke as played by Bidemi Kosoko and Elizabeth, the equally moralistic daughter of Professor Johnbull, acted by Queen Nwokoye.

Besides lampooning the exploitative tendencies of the fake estate agents, the episode raises other issues such as the proliferation of charges by real estate practitioners. Viewers will, at the end of the episode, have answers to questions such as: Who is a fake estate agent? Are there acceptable charges in the real estate industry? Is there any difference between ‘agreement fee’ and ‘agent fee’? Should landlords who give out their property charge any other fee apart from the rent?

The repeat broadcast of Estate Agents comes up on Friday at 8.30 p.m. on the same channels.
