2008 AFRICAN HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Enlarging its sphere of influence in sports sponsorship in Africa, Globacom sponsored the 2008 African Handball Championship held in Cotonou, Benin Republic in 2008.

With the financial backing of Glo as the main sponsor, the organizers were able to stage a classy tournament. Again, Globacom sponsored the event when it had not launched its network in Benin Republic, proving once again that its emphasis is on providing the enabling environment for people in markets where it operates to fulfill their passion.
