Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)

Glo Multimedia Messaging Service allows you to combine picture messaging, enhanced text messaging and audio messaging in a single message and send to friends and family using MMS-enabled phones. It brings a whole new world of color, sound and pictures directly to your mobile phone at an affordable price.

Subscribing to MMS Service

Glo MMS services are configured automatically for MMS enabled devices, however if you have not received your MMS settings please send phone name+model to 664 “NokiaN70” to 664 or call the customer service on 121. Once you receive you MMS settings via SMS please save and begin to enjoy the service.

How to Send an MMS

  • On your mobile phone select “MENU” & scroll to “Messages”.
  • Select the Multimedia message & open a new message page
  • Type your message
  • Insert picture, sound, video clip, etc
  • Enter your choice number and press ok/yes/send.

How to Read an MMS

  • You will receive an alert and you will see an envelop icon on your phone screen
  • Go to the menu “Message” click on Multimedia
  • Scroll to the “Inbox / read/ message”
  • Insert picture, sound, video clip, etc
  • Press “enter” and read / view your Multimedia message.
Service Cost

Service is charged at the Flat rate of N30 per MMS.

International MMS

Glo International MMS service will allow you send pictures, music, video and extra-long text to your family, friends and Business associates worldwide.

Description of Service

  • Multimedia messaging is an enhanced messaging service that allows a variety of message elements to be sent over a network, including text, animations, photographs and sounds.
  • Glo International MMS will allow Glo subscribers send MMS abroad to 21 mobile networks. Click here to view the list. This list of International MMS destination networks is excpected to grow to 100 networks eventually.
  • This service allows you to send telephony messages in the form of MMS on special occasions like birthdays, birth announcements, graduations, Christmas will become extremely popular.

  • MMS is an exciting, fast, affordable and reliable way to communicate.
  • MMS can be sent from any MMS capable handset from any where in Nigeria where Glo has coverage.

Subscriber Usage/Subscription for this service


  • To configure your phone for MMS send an SMS with the word ‘activate’ to 667, call customer care on 121 or visit any of our Gloworld outlets.
  • No cost is incurred if the service is not used; it will be on a pay per use basis.
  • Only Glo customers with MMS/WAP capable handsets can use MMS.

Requirements

Before enrolling in Glo MMS, we suggest you check the capacity of your handset to ensure it supports the service.
MMS phones (with camera) photography, create, send and download multimedia messages. MMS phones (no camera) Create, send and download multimedia messages. Handset not compatible with MMS may not send or receive multimedia messages.

Note: You can choose your favorite based combined messaging. Users with MMS devices receive a notification via SMS containing a Web address with a unique password; they can display their message in its entirety.
