An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital version of a physical SIM card that allows you to activate a mobile plan without using a physical SIM card. It’s built directly into your phone or device.
First, you should check your mobile handset compatibility by dialling *#06# on your phone. If an EID number reflects on your mobile screen, your device is eSIM compatible If your device is eSIM compatible, please visit the nearest Gloworld shop to migrate to e-SIM
The e-SIM migration is free for a limited period.
The migration typically takes a few minutes if your NIN and internet connectivity are ready.
Yes, your phone number remains the same during the migration from a physical SIM to an eSIM.
The Gloworld staff after verifying your device compatibility, shall verify your NIN. After NIN verification, using your device camera an e-SIM QR code will be scanned and E-SIM profile will be activated.
Below are the steps:
For migrating to Android Devices:
- Go to settings and delete eSIM profile from your current phone.
- Go to Settings on the Android device You want to migrate to.
- Open Settings > Connections (or Network & Internet, depending on your device).
- Access SIM Manager: Tap SIM card manager or Mobile network > Add Mobile Plan.
- Scan QR Code: Use your device’s camera to scan the QR code provided by the Glo world Executive.
- Activate Profile: Once downloaded, select the new eSIM profile to activate it.
- Label Your Plan (Optional): You can name your eSIM plan for easy identification (e.g., “Glo eSIM”).
- Test Connectivity: Ensure cellular data and calls work properly.
For migrating to Android Devices:
- Go to settings and delete eSIM profile from your current phone.
- Go to Settings: Open Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan.
- Scan QR Code: Use your iPhone’s camera to scan the QR code provided by the GE.
- Download Profile: Your phone will download the eSIM profile.
- Activate Profile: Once the download is complete, select the eSIM plan to activate it.
- Label Your Plan (Optional): You can name your eSIM plan for easy identification (e.g., “Glo eSIM”).
- Test Connectivity: Verify cellular data, calls, and messaging work as expected.
